Full Paper Format Requirements

Full paper submissions must be made electronically, and, full papers must be submitted in the following format and structure :


Format

Full papers must follow the formatting guideline as below:

  1. Word format.
  2. As a guide papers should be 4,000 - 8000 words in length, including list of references, tables etc.
  3. Single-spaced text.
  4. Font 12pt Times New Roman.
  5. Do not number pages.
  6. Referencing within the text should be authors last name followed by year of publication all in round brackets, eg. (Deming, 1986).
  7. Tables must be numbered consecutively within the main text using roman numerals (VI) and have a title.
  8. Figures, diagrams, charts must be numbered consecutively within the main text using arabic numerals (6), black and white and with a title.
  9. Illustrations, drawings, photographs with captions in the main text.
  10. Avoid using footnotes, endnotes.
  11. The reference list at the end of the abstract should be complete and in Harvard style using an alphabetical list by author.



Examples of Harvard style:
For Books: surname, initials, (year), title of book, publisher, place of publication
For book chapters; Surname, initials, (year), "chapter title", ditor's surname, initials,title of book, publisher, place of publication
For journals: surname, initials, (year), "title of article", journal name, volume, number, pages


Structure

Full papers should be organized in the following structure:

  1. Paper Title.
  2. Autobiographical note for each author – full name; university/affiliation; e.mail address.
  3. Provide 4-6 keywords that indicate the main topic of the paper.
  4. Categorise your paper into one of the following (this will help with organising sessions and possible journal publication)
  5. Text
  6. List of references


Type of the Study


1. Case Study : Descriptions of actual projects or experiences within organizations. They may well be subjective.
2. Conceptual paper : Not research based, but papers that will develop and test hypotheses. They are more likely to be discursive in approach and will cover philosophical discussions and comparative studies of others' work and thinking.
3. General review : Papers that provide an overview or historical examination of some concept, technique or phenomena. The papers are likely to be more descriptive or instructional ("how to" papers) than discursive.
4. Literature review : All category of papers are expected to cite relevant literature so this category is only relevant if the main aim of the paper is to annotate and/or critique literature in a particular area.
5. Research paper : Papers which present any research undertaken by the author(s). The research may involve any method/approach.
6. Technical paper : Describes and evaluates technical products, processes or services
7. Viewpoint : A paper, primarily dependent on the author's opinion and interpretation, including journalistic pieces.


Extended Abstract Format

(Same as the author guidelines of the sponsoring journal of IJQSS)

  1. Max. 500 words
  2. Single-spaced text
  3. Font 12pt Times New Roman


Extended Abstract Structure

  1. Paper Title
  2. Autobiographical note for each author - full name; Academic title; university/affiliation; e-mail & postal address
  3. Heading 'Abstract'
  4. 4-6 sub-headings: Purpose; Methodology/Approach; Findings: Research Limitation/implication (if applicable); Originality/Value of paper; up to six Keywords
